Check out www.healthyeatingstartshere.com for the free ’7 Secrets For Shaping Up Your Healthy Eating Habits’. Stomach acid remedies are often thought of as just antacids, but that misses looking at the underlying cause of the problem, which can sometimes be too little stomach acid, not too much. @MirageR5 you can try HCl capsules, but if you didn’t notice anything at all with the ACV then it’s probably not the issue for you. hm, if the aloe tastes like water it may not be too strong… there are a bunch of other suggestions? in the article linked under the video, they might be helpful.

@healthyvegan Thanks for the info Heather! Would you recommend using actual HCL capsules?I’ve been using this George’s Aloe Vera.? It tastes like water!
I love your videos. I would like to go totally vegan, but the acid reflux limits my food choices and I’ve been very lazy in terms of what I can eat vegan wise with this reflux.

@MirageR5 heartburn with an underactive stomach is a reaction to the foods – meat, junk foods, etc. They create an acid reaction (heartburn) even though the HCl level of the stomach might be low in general.? Those same foods cause the stomach acid levels to be low in the long run, so the two often go together. If it doesn’t get better or worse with ACV, try aloe vera juice. It’s very soothing, but doesn’t interfere with your normal stomach process like medications will.

If you have an under active stomach why? do you get heartburn? I’ve been dealing with this for 4-5 months. The doctors have no remedies other than continue to take the medications. I’ve used AppleCiderVinegar and it really didn’t do much for me. I mean, I didn’t feel much one way or the other.

@foodpuppie if your stomach function is normal and healthy, you shouldn’t take the acid test – only take it if you feel like your digestion isn’t working well, if you get gas, if you feel bloated after eating, etc. With normal stomach function, you could feel either effect with the acid, depending on whether you’re slightly high or low in stomach activity – but without symptoms? before doing the test, you shouldn’t use HCl for either one

Hi Heather,? my husband was wondering with the acid test what should you feel if your stomach function is normal and healthy? Thanks.

Hi Heather, my husband had a good question. With the acid test, what should you feel if? your stomach function is normal and healthy? Thanks.

I never? knew there was a difference in over/underactive stomach. No wonder the advice is so often contradictory. Thank you for this, I’ve had stomach issues for a while now, and I have some apple cider vinegar in my pantry!

@pomegranateish true – but you only take the test if you’re having issues with digestion. The pass is if you have no need to take the test

What the hell
That’s a test you CANNOT pass. Either way your stomach? is overactive or underactive

@RennicJ if you? take small sips, should be fine – it’s just a problem if you have big gulps, especially of ice-cold water/pop/juice

I? typically drink green tea with my meals as I feel it helps calm down/relax my stomache. Is this a no-no?

@jeshrio After you complete your meal, you would be better off giving your stomach time to properly digest its load by waiting about an hour before drinking anything. Doing this also gives your body time to properly absorb nutrients.?

@jeshrio Imagine a pot on a stove with beans and no water. What happens? The beans burn. Now add the water…the beans cease to burn. A similar phenomenon happens in the stomach during digestion when we drink? with our meals.
